Forgiven

I'm not overly religious.

My parents are from two different faiths and I was raised Catholic. My husband is Catholic, and we are now raising our children in the Catholic faith. From time to time there are things I question, and I do not attend mass regularly.

There is an app on Facebook called God wants you to know (or something like that)... and while I know it's totally random a lot of my friends were posting their messages. I decided to check it out. It's like a feel good fortune for the day. Sometimes it doesn't apply, sometimes it does... but this one, made me feel good today. And it could apply to anyone, because who hasn't done something they want to be forgiven for. Thought I'd share today's message:

On this day of your life, we believe God wants you to know ... that it is time to finally forgive yourself.
You've carried the guilt, the shame for long enough. You've kept your wounds open for long enough. The time has come to let go, to heal. Keep the lessons and let the pain heal. Yes, you know what we are talking about it.
