Thankful Thursday

This week has been...a struggle. With everyone sick (and I do mean everyone at this point), I was not sure I would be able to find things to be thankful for this week. The boys are I are starting to go a bit stir crazy at this point and I feel terrible for them that this has been their vacation. I wasn't sure I had it in me to do Thankful Thursday when I was so aggravated that this is what our week turned in to.

I would say that once the Doodle Bop got sick yesterday afternoon, I hit my absolute low.

But when Al finally got home from work last night, with tons of won ton soup, and he jumped right in and took over for me when I was so exhausted? I realized THAT is what I have to be thankful for. As well as a washing machine and dryer that still works even if I don't even know just how old it is - because trust me they have been running non stop this week. Warm showers to (repeatedly) throw the boys in. Enough buckets to go around. And a wonderfully stocked up Target store near us where Al made a run once we finally got the boys in bed to replenish ALL of our cleaning supplies. (Side note, I can't believe I managed to go through everything.)

Yes, its all of the small things that I am thankful for this week. And I can't forget to be thankful that no one has needed a Hasbro run for fluids... so I will chalk that up as another score. We got a little food into the boys today and Al keeps reminding me that this whole week will make a really funny blog post. Maybe.

And how can I forget...I'm also so thankful for the Redbox at CVS. Bringing new movies for the boys every day this week. If all goes well, we might actually make it to Monster Jam tomorrow night.

What are you thankful for this week?

  1. I'm so sorry for the terrible week you had. That's no fun for a vacation week. It's nice to lay out the silver linings (if there are even such a thing with the stomach flu). I hope you all get to Monster Jam tomorrow night!!!! Feel better, Corbos!

  2. I'm sorry for a crap week :( I hate winter for all the sickness. It really stinks. I hope everyone is feeling better soon and you can make it to Monster Jam!
